JC started to sing very early and became very successful in 1980 with her hit-single "Someone Loves You Honey", a cover of Charley Pride's big tune.
In 1988, JC hit the charts with her very famous song "Telephone Love" which is a very top-notch song in Reggae music. 3 years after, in 1991, she hit the charts again with 'Home Is Where The Hurt Is' and she made a cover of Minnie Ripperton's "Loving You" that was also a big success. JC mainly worked with her longtime partner, manager, producer and songwriter Errol O'Meally.
J.C Lodge recorded and released several albums from 1982 to the 2000s. She was very famous in the 80s and 90s. JC's music is appreciated and enjoyed by million of fans (especially in Jamaica and Japan). Her voice is one of a kind and she is very charismatic and beautiful. Her style, the way she sings and writes songs can remind of Sade or one of the Reggae Lovers Rock: Maxi Priest. Her voice can sing many different kinds of music and any type of songs. So J.C is a multi-talented artiste who is also good at drawing and painting. She is also fond of children (JC has got one daughter who was born in 1994), in 1997, she was part of "Sing 'n' Learn", an educational program for children. JC sang with the children in the videos and recorded songs for the children such as "Don't Hurt The Animals", "L.O.V.E", "Parlez-vous Français?", "Uno, Dos, Tres" etc. She also acted in several videos for that program and it is clear that JC is also very good at acting! Today, JC is still singing and is often on stage (with her daughter Gia) all over the world. Her music is mainly about love.
